List of props
Below are a list of the props in which we, Slasher Inc, will use to create our teaser trailer;
Bed:
Fundamentally, 'the bed' can be seen as one of the most important props in our trailer. Reason being that the whole idea of the trailer is based on thoughts and dreams (which happen most when you're asleep) hence why a bed is very important as this will be where we see our main character for the first time and where are story line develops from.
Chains:
Chains play a vital role in our trailer as they'll be what is used to hold our main character hostage during her tormenting ordeal.

Title progress
Today was the day in which all the four members, of our group, came together and decided fully on what our production team shall be called. The name in which we came up with is 'Slasher Inc'.
We all chipped into the discussion with ideas. We came up with many different names, some of these ideas being names based on Latin words for horror/nightmares, (as dreams/nightmares is what our story will be based around) to names such as 'Sweetdreams turn to nightmares'.
After a lenghty discussion we all came to the realisation that some of our movie titles were too long or they lacked originality. Reason being, that a group from within our own Media class had come up with the idea of using Latin words for there name of their production team.
So all us members rallied together and thought of what would be a good name. This is where the idea for 'Slasher Inc' came from. The word 'Slasher' coming from the fact that our teaser trailer will be based around the sub-genre of 'slasher' and the 'Inc' just basically coming from us all agreeing that this would help us seem more professional/grown up.
This discussion was very helpful as it helped us finally get a name for our group and now that we've got our production teams name we can now begin to create and design a logo for our group, based on the name.

Rough Logo Designs
Now that our group has fully decided on what the name of our production team is, we can now begin to make a logo design for it.
These pictures you are seeing are just some rough idea's on what our logo will look like, so they're not the finished article.

Harry's 3 favourite horror movies
My own personal experience of the genre horror has made me come to a realization of what my favourite sub-genre is. My favourite sub-genre of horror would have to be 'Slasher', which is in fact going to be the genre of our teaser trailer. This has led me to think about what my favourite films of the sub-genre 'slasher' are. In no particular order they go;
Texas Chainsaw Massacre;
This film just has to be an all-time classic of horror as a whole. To back up my claim, you can only point to the fact that Leatherface and his chainsaw have become as iconic as Freddy and his razors or Jason and his hockey mask. With this being said, I don't really have to say much more about this movie as I'm sure it'd be high up on anybody's list of favourite horror movies. Baring in mind that I have put up the trailer of the remake of 'TCM', only because there is much more gore and scare in the modern one than there is in the original, not that it takes anything away from the original though.
Halloween;
In all honesty, I am a sucker for original horror movies. Hence why you see a lot of older based films on this list. But back to why I have put Halloween on my top 3. What type of list could begin to talk about so-called 'slasher' movies without Halloween? Although, due too modern times Halloween has lost it's 'edge' because of the horror that is in today's movies, Halloween is also very much a classic and one of the first films to feature such gore as stabbings. A movie I can watch over and over again, the effect it would grow to have on horror movies through the ages is astonishing.
A Nightmare on Elm Street
If you could tell me that you slept soundly, after watching this movie, then no doubt in my mind but you're lying. I don't really have to say a lot about this movie because mentioning the title says it all, any child that didn't have nightmares about Freddy Kruger coming into their dreams has obviously not seen the film. The savage imagery and deeply perverted sexual themes placed this film in the pantheon of great horror. One of the scariest movies of all time and one of my favourite.

Adeola's Top 2 Horror Movies
Personally I am a huge fan of horror. The goury content is what makes it so interesting to me. As a group we have done alot of research into different horror movies and have found out various different things such as the conventions of a horror. My two favourite horror movies have to be; Scream 4 and Jeepers Creepers.
Director: Victor Salva
Writer: Victor Salva
Stars: Gina Philips, Justin Long and Jonathan Breck
Jeepers Creepers has to be one of my favourite goury horror films in the sub-genre of slasher horrors. I think that it is very creative with the use of special effects and make up used on the unhuman creature. However it is very predictable with the school bus full of teenagers breaking down in the middle of the woods. It follows the elimination theory where one teenager at a time gets captured and killed. If I could change one thing about this movie it would be the lack of realism that it has. The lighting was very often low key, even though this is an effective feature for horror it could have been a bit brighter.
Director: Wes Craven
Writer: Kevin Williamson
Stars: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette
One of the things that I like about the sequel of 'Scream 4' is the way all the other parts correspond with eachother. I found the use of the mask effective because it made you play the guessing game as to who the killer was. In some other horror movies you may be aware of the killer but in all the parts of 'Scream' the killer is never revealed till the end. I think this is a successful feature included in 'Scream' because it has you on edge right till the end of the movie. If i could change one thing about 'Scream 4' it would be the fact that it is predictable and you knew who was going to die and when.
